Recipe For The Month Of August


Chocolate-Almond Cappuccino Bread (pg.53)


What You Need:

1 package J. B. Dough Classic White Bread Mix

3 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons baking cocoa

2 teaspoons cappuccino dry instant coffee mix

1/2 cup silvered almonds

Confectioners' sugar

Prepare bread mix following J. B. Dough package instructions for mixing dough. Add sugar, baking cocoa, instant coffee and almonds. Set your machine for light mode because of the high sugar content. Bake on normal or light mode. Let cool. Slice and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.

Or, if you use the dough mode, remove dough from bread machine. Divide into 2 portions on lightly floured surface. Shape each into 12-inch rope. Twist ropes together loosely; pinch ends together. Place on greased baking sheet. Let rise for 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Makes 1 loaf.
